For my first project I am going to show you a Thanksgiving place setting I created using a few different files from Creative Kuts. I had so much fun putting this all together.
Here is a picture of the whole place setting. You see it all put together here.
This above picture is a close up of the Etching on Glass. I am going to do a tutorial on how to do this. (coming soon) :) For this I used: Harvesting Memories Little Girl I uploaded the pumpkin and vine from this file and cut it out with vinyl. I only used the negative part of the cut out.
This is a close up of the napkin ring. I used the same file as above and cut out the pumpkin and stem. In addition to the pumpkin I used the Fence and extended it to create a ring. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and some Diamond Glitter Glue around the edges of the pumpkin.
For the Place Card I used the Turkey from the Creative Kuts file "Thanksgiving Blocks". The letters "Anna" are from the words "giving thanks" I only used the "A" and the "N". I inked all the edges with Distress Inks.
For my 2nd project I am going to show you a Sign I made to hang on my door for Christmas Holiday. Christmas is one of my favorite Holidays and I love to decorate so this cute piece will fit right in with the rest of my decor.
This sign is really big. The red part measures 11 1/2 " wide. I used the Creative Kuts file: BELIEVE...I cut out all the pieces and then inked all edges with Tim Holts distress inks to give it some depth. Before attaching the santa to the sign, I took a strip of red line tape (aka: sticky strip) across the connecting hounds tooth and red paper to separate the two. Then I sprinkled my favorite glitter, German Glass Glitter in Silver color to give it some bling. I then attached the wire by punching a hole and twisted the wire to hold into place. I attached the santa to the red piece and then sprinkled some snow flakes on the whites of his coat and hat.
In Regards to my Blog Candy for the hop: I am currently on my way home from vacation. I will be home later on tonight. I will pick a winner for my "SURPRISE" Blog candy to be given away on Monday afternoon.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. Don't forget to be eligible for the prizes you must do the above instructions. :) Have a great day!
