Mini Candy Wrappers

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a great Memorial Day Week-End.  It's back to the daily grind-stone for me.  I wish I could have had another day off.  However,  I will be off a few days week when I go to Boston for Copic Certification.  :)  I can't wait.  

Today's project is using Pink by Designs Mini Wrapper Stamp Set and die along with the Chevron background stamp.  (I love the Chevron Stamp, it's just so cool)  

The cute little boxes were made from Stampin' Up's Two Tags sizzix die, scored in 1" on the bottom attached to each other and stapled at the top.  I put some punch-outs on top to cover it up.

To make the wrappers, all you do is:  Cut out the wrappers with the dies on your Big Shot (or die cutting machine) and then stamp the image on top.  Before you Wrap them around the Hershey's Miniatures you need to stamp which sentiment on top.  Then glue them around your Hershey's Miniatures.  You can do them in whatever color you choose for whatever event.  :)  How perfect is that?

DESCRIPTION: 

In this class we are going to alter a wood birdhouse.  Add some feet, and totally "Steam-punk" it out.  The paper line we are using is the fabulous Graphic 45 "Olde Curiosity Shoppe" paper.  We will be painting, alcohol inking, misting, glossy'ing, fussy cutting, and just layering up a bunch of fun stuff.  Lots of components in this class.  Paper flowers, ribbon, metal embellishments, and more.  We will also be putting on a "TIN" Roof.  :)  Who would have though "roofing" work could be so much fun? {WINK}

Supplies to bring to class:  Fabri-tac, adhesive, scissors, edge distresser, paper trimmer, pop dots, glue dots, Ranger Non-Stick Mat.  (and gloves if you don't want to get your hands inky)

If you the "Frayed Burlap" Distress Ink and inking tool with foam-please bring it for your personal use.  (any brown distress ink will do)  

(I will have mine, but you may bring your own for speed-i-ness of the class.  It will be helpful, but not required.)

I was going to go outside to take a picture of today's card but it was raining.  (still)  So I had to take it inside in front of my laptop.  :)  

Today is another day at work.  Same stuff different day.  :)  I can't wait for this week-end to get here.  I am ready for a 3 day non busy week end.  (except for my class on Sunday, which I should start cutting for tonight, we'll see how that goes..lol)

Today's card is, once again, using lots of layers.  I love Simple Stories and their pattern paper.  This is the first time I got one of their 6 x 6 pads.  I love how they scale down the patterns in the 6 x 6's.    

The stamped image is by Whipper Snapper Designs.  I colored this cute fella' in with my copic markers.

Pocket Fold Class 5/31/12

Hi Everyone, 

As promised I am here to share with you a sneak peek of my class coming up on May 31, 2012.  Yes..  Count them.  We are making 5 pocket cards.  These are all adorable.  The Samples are in the store right now, so stop by the "DOO" and take a look.  (the address is below if yo don't know where they are) :)

We will be doing a little sewing with my sewing machine,  Making a flower out of crepe paper, embossing, coloring with copics and doing a little fussy cutting.

In addition to your basic tool kit (adhesive, scissors, glue dots, and pop dots) please bring with you your paper cutter as well.

Shiver Me Timbers

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are having a great week so far.  However the end is near.  (which I can't wait)  I do have a busy week end ahead and I am sooo looking forward to it.  

Today's card is using a pirate stamp by Stampendous and my Pink by Design stamps called Pirate's Life.  I did do A LOT of layers in this card.  

I colored the image in with my copic markers and the sentiment "Shiver Me Timbers" was embossed with white embossing powders on a "plank" paper.

Happy Birthday with a little BLING

Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday!  Well as happy as you can get with it being a wet dreary day here in New Jersey.  :)  The good news is that I am about to leave work for the day.  The bad news is that I have to be back at 8am in the morning for the cable guy.  (yay me!)  

Here is my card I created last night.  I really love how it turned out.  :)  I used one of the sets from Pink by Designs new release called "Mini Wrappers".  

It is a new release.  Instead of using it in the "mini wrappers" form I decided to use it the way it is in this card.  I had to bling it out with a few rhinestones.  :)

Today's project is using the New Release "GIRLFRIENDS".  This is just 3 of 7 different images/sentiments sets.

Last night I was able to go into my Stamp/Scrap Room to play around.  All the while watching NCIS.  I love that show.  Some times I think that for as much Law & Order, NCIS, CSI, and Criminal Minds I watch...I should have my Law Degree by now....  :)

Thinking of You

Hi Everyone,

Happy Monday.  This week-end just flew by.  I hope this week flies by just as fast.  

This whole week end I wanted to get into my room to play but I never did get around to it.  (Insert Sad Face HERE)  I am seriously going through withdrawals.  

Sunday I ended up picking up (with the help of a few friends) my New (used) Treadmill from my friend who live upstate New York.  I LOVE LOVE her scrap room.  :)  Its just wonderful.   When we finally made it back home I had to re-arrange my Living Room to fit the 6 Ft long treadmill into my small small space.  I didn't like the set up when I was done with it.  But I talked myself into leaving it.  I asked myself "How many visitors do I get?".  Not enough to matter SOOOO It stays as is.  I did get up this morning before work and ran/walked 1 1/2 miles.  I am going to do it again tonight before I go to bed.  Fingers crossed that I lose this yucky weight.  

On to today's card is another one I did at the Stamp-a-Stack last week end.  

All the cards for Stamp-a-stack are all easy easy cards.  Because we are making 10 cards they have to be quick and easy to make so we are not in the class all day and it still keeps the students interested.  :)  I am going to take a picture of how I organize my stamp-a-stack classes so you can get an idea of what it's like.

Wrapped a piece of white sheer ribbon around the main image and it adds a little bit of elegance to the card.  I LOVE LOVE the monochromatic look with Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant color by Stampin Up.

A Bowl Full of Cherries....

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all having a great Hump Day.  I have about 1/2 hour and I am leaving work.  :)  Then I can relax.  It has been a long day.

I had every intention of doing a blog post yesterday.  However, I forgot my laptop charger at home and didn't have access to my computer.  Sorry about that. 

Now onto today's card.  :)  This one is using Unity Stamps and copic markers. 

I stamped my sentiment on the white base and then ran it through my big shot with the swiss dots embossing folder.  I love how it added texture to my sentiment.
