Filofax Monday: Week 3

Happy Monday Friends,

We are back for another Filofax Monday Post.  This is week 3 of my Filofax Mondays and I am enjoying collecting little things through out the week to add to my Filofax for a Daily Journal of sorts.

Pardon my messy hand writing.  It is a little tough to have neat hand writing in such small spaces.

If you have any questions on  my Filofax-please comment below and I'll answer them best that I can.

Filofax Monday

Hi Friends,

Welcome to another Filofax Monday!  I was hoping to finish this last night but I didn't get the chance too.  After I got home from work today I was able to sit down and get it finished.  I hope you enjoy.
As the same as last week~there's a lot of journaling.  I did use pictures I printed from my Selphy.  I cut them out with scissors to fit appropriately in the slots for each day.

I love the sign at the top left that says "This is a SIGN that you should be knitting" I found it somewhere on the Internet.

The picture on the top right is a picture of my little baby girl "Daisy" who is helping me knit.

I love the picture of the nail polish of the week.  It is called "Moon River".  A little out of my comfort zone but I had to give it a try.  (Yes,  I still have it on my nails today. lol)

The bottom right picture is of Luna and Javi heading out back to hunt for eggs on Easter.

I can't wait to share with you Next Monday my "Filofax Monday".  This is a project I enjoy doing and it gives you an idea of my week of what I do ~other than my 9:30 - 5 job.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Friend with a Sketch

Hi Everyone,

When I got home from work last night- I changed my clothes into some comfy pajamas and then I went into my craft room.  I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do, so I pulled up a sketch by My Favorite Things.  Why Yes I do have some MFT stamps in my stash, so I pulled out something I haven't used yet (I know I am not the only one that has stamps they haven't used yet..lol).

So Here it is...
The Stamp set I chose to use is Tropical Sensation.  I also used the dies that coordinate with the stamp set.
I used a Tim Holtz Stencil to create the background on the green cardstock.  The white dots are from a stencil by Heidi Swapp that was purchased from Michaels.  All the inks I used are all from Hero Arts.  The pattern paper is from an old 6 x 6 paper pad by Heidi Grace.  I believe I purchased it from JoAnn's a while ago.

This is the sketch I am using.  And you can look at it by clicking here.
I thought I would share a picture of my desk to show you a "work in progress" of what it looks like while I am creating.  WHAT A MESS.  If you notice- I ended up not using a few pieces.  And even on the green cardstock, I ended up flipping it over and covering up the hearts and ended up using dots instead.  :) After I was done creating- I put everything back to where it belongs.  :)

You're the Greatest

Hey There Everyone!

Yep I have another post for you today.  This past Saturday I went out shopping with my friend to Rock, Paper, Scissors & to Joann's.  Which I did buy some new Hero Arts Inks and then I also purchased some fabric to make curtains for my kitchen.  I am not a strong sewer but I do enjoy the challenge.  I suppose sewing is like any other hobby the more you do it the better you get.

After our shopping experience I was inspired to get in my room and make something.  So I put together this card.

I pulled out my Inktense Watercolor Pencils and gave them a try.  I love the vibrancy of the colors. They just make me happy.
The stamped image is from Paper Smooches from a set called:  ENJOY THE SHOW. This set also has a die to match it to cut out the images.  I stamped the image onto Tim Holtz Watercolor paper and colored with the inktense watercolor pencils and blended with a water brush.  The balls on top were stamped and I used a circle punch to punch them out.  I topped off the card by using Mama Elephant dies for the mat and the landscape die for the mound that the clown is standing on.  I can't remember the name of the multi colored pattern paper but the grey with the hearts is from Lawn Fawn.

Filofax Monday

Hey Everyone,

I am starting something new on my blog today.  I am going to start having a Monday Post called "Filofax Monday".  Filofax Monday is where I share with you a page from my Filofax of the previous weeks adventures.

The way that I am doing my Filofax is a form of journaling about things that occur during that particular day in each date slot.  I will collect business cards and flyers to attach to the pages with adhesive- along with little print outs from my Selphy Printer.  I have a lot of stickers- so I will also embellish with what I have on hand.  The little bunny's on the top of the left side is a stamped image from Mama Elephant stamps that I just got in.  This will be a Filofax form of Smashing.  :)

I wish I could say this was my ORIGINAL idea, but it isn't. I'd like to thank my friend Cindy for inspiring me to use my Filofax in this way.  You can follow her on Instagram by clicking HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Lawn Fawn: You're a Lifesaver

Hey there Everyone-Welcome back to another post!

This Morning I woke up wishing I didn't have to go to work today.  I wanted to stay home and make stuff in the craft room.  So I whipped up this cute card with some cute NEW stamps that I got in the studio recently.

The stamp set is by Lawn Fawn-Float my Boat. Being a military veteran I needed this set.  The anchor is so cute.  :)  What I like most is that you can also purchase dies to cut out the images for you.  WIN WIN FOR EVERYONE,  or at least for me.  :)
The yellow card in the center was cut out of my MME (My Minds Eye) Now & Then paper pad using my Lawn Fawn "Stitched Journaling Card" custom Cut Dies.  I also used my Hero Arts "Friends' Definition Stamp and stamped it with my Stampin' Up's So Saffron Ink.

The cute little boat was stamped with black staz-on and colored in with my Pale Sage & Light Aqua Prisma colored pencils and blended with gamsol.  I stamped the anchor & cloud with my Pistachio Pudding ink by Stampin' Up!.  The other cloud was stamped with my Hero Arts "SPLASH" chalk ink.  I stamped off to give it a second generation look.
I couldn't just leave the inside blank.  I had to jazz it up a bit with some stamping too.  The life preserver was stamped with my Hero Arts "Splash" Chalk Ink and then cut out with the die that coordinates with it.  The cute little clouds you see on the front of the card and inside the card came from Studio Calico years ago. They are the clouds that match up with the Fiskars small & medium cloud punch.  I love the fact that I am pulling stuff out of my stash that I bought years ago and using them.
The above picture is another view of the card.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.
