Snowflake-Gift Tag

Hi Everyone,

It's Thursday!  woo hoo!  :)  This past month has been crazy for me.  Soooo, Need-less to say, I am happy the week end is a day away.  :)  Going to spend some time with my wonderful Husband.  Maybe take in a movie or two.

Today's project is a snowflake cut out of chipboard with a snowflake sizzix die.

045This was a make n take that I demo'ed at my favorite LSS,  SCRAP-A-DOODLE DOO IN Ramsey, NJ.  We did this at the Customer Appreciation Night Dessert Party This last Friday night.  The "Doo" sure knows how to throw a nice get-to-gether for their customers!

We used Studio Calico's Mister Huey's to brush onto the chipboard.  (you could spray it on, but with wanting to stretch the supplies it used less if we brushed it on with a foam brush)  When you were done brushing your choice of color (green or turquoise) We sprayed the shine on top to give it more glimmer.

After we finished coloring our snowflake we used "True Snow" from Arleenes to go on the tips of the flake. (It goes on like Cool Whip but hold the form your leave it.)While that is drying a bit we are going to stamp our image.  I used Tim Holtz Holiday Collection Distress Inks to stamp my images from Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday Stamp.  Cut it out with Stampin' Up Circle Punches (image and a mat).  Glued everything together and once completely dry you may tie your ribbon on.

"Believe" Photo Display Frame

Hi Everyone!

I know I have been MIA for a bit.  It has been so busy around the Zuniga House hold lately.  With being away for vacation, the Thanksgiving Holiday, and then a wonderful week with my mother visiting from Tennessee.   I am a little sad that I had to take her to the airport this morning for her flight home.

One of the highlights of my moms visit was that she was able to take one of my classes at Scrap-a-Doodle Doo.  We had our Jingle Jam day at the "DOO" this past Saturday.  My friend Sherri Caramico and I taught an all day class of 2 mega projects. She taught a beautiful project that is a Lighted Mason Jar and I taught a fun, oh-so-cute Printers tray (also known as:  Photo Display Frame).

Photo_edited-1As I was putting this together one frame at a time.  Everything kept falling into place one square at a time.  I love the little vintage ornament and the vintage light bulb.  The frame is designed by Kaiser Crafts and it comes in a natural naked wood.  I used Coffee Shop Glimmer mist to paint it on the wood to give it the rich brown.  After the glimmer mist dried, I added Rock Candy Distressed Crackle paint on top to give it a weathered look.  The papers are from Simple Stories and Kaiser Crafts.  I added in a paper doily, Glass Glitter, Kaiser Crafts green flowers, tinsel, ribbon, tea died tags, Wooden Houses, "Doo Dads", bells, and vintage ornaments.

Thanks for stopping by today.  :)

P.S.  Blog Candy winner to be announced tomorrow.  :)

For my first project I am going to show you a Thanksgiving place setting I created using a few different files from Creative Kuts.  I had so much fun putting this all together.

018

Here is a picture of the whole place setting.  You see it all put together here.

019
This above picture is a close up of the Etching on Glass.  I am going to do a tutorial on how to do this.  (coming soon)  :)  For this I used:  Harvesting Memories Little Girl I uploaded the pumpkin and vine from this file and cut it out with vinyl.  I only used the negative part of the cut out.

021
This is a close up of the napkin ring.  I used the same file as above and cut out the pumpkin and stem.  In addition to the pumpkin I used the Fence and extended it to create a ring.  I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress Inks and some Diamond Glitter Glue around the edges of the pumpkin.

020
For the Place Card I used the Turkey from the Creative Kuts file "Thanksgiving Blocks".  The letters "Anna" are from the words "giving thanks" I only used the "A" and the "N".  I inked all the edges with Distress Inks.

For my 2nd project I am going to show you a Sign I made to hang on my door for Christmas Holiday.  Christmas is one of my favorite Holidays and I love to decorate so this cute piece will fit right in with the rest of my decor.  006

This sign is really big.  The red part measures 11 1/2 " wide.  I used the Creative Kuts file:  BELIEVE...I cut out all the pieces and then inked all edges with Tim Holts distress inks to give it some depth.  Before attaching the santa to the sign, I took a strip of red line tape (aka: sticky strip)  across the connecting hounds tooth and red paper to separate the two.  Then I sprinkled my favorite glitter, German Glass Glitter in Silver color to give it some bling.  I then attached the wire by punching a hole and twisted the wire to hold into place.  I attached the santa to the red piece and then sprinkled some snow flakes on the whites of his coat and hat.

In Regards to my Blog Candy for the hop:  I am currently on my way home from vacation.  I will be home later on tonight.  I will pick a winner for my "SURPRISE" Blog candy to be given away on Monday afternoon.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today.  Don't forget to be eligible for the prizes you must do the above instructions.  :)  Have a great day!

DAY 2: Creative Kuts~Black and Orange Blog Hop

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to Day 2 of the Creative Kuts Black/Orange Blog Hop.  This hop is scheduled for yesterday (Friday) and today (Saturday).  So glad you can join us for this fun "spooktacular" hop.  Be sure to go through each blog in the list below and leave a comment and follow each blog as you will be eligible to win some mega blog candy.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you can start at the beginning with LISA.  If you just came from LINN then you are in the right spot.  At the end of this post you will see where you go next along with a complete list of the blog hop participants..

A

For my project I decided to use "Troubles Brewing".  You can find the file by clicking here.

Instead of taking the file and making it into a layout I wanted to do something a little vintage'y.  I decided on little treat bags.   I used a plain white paper doily and sprayed it down with glimmer mist to give it a little more color with some shimmer.  I placed the dollies on the bottom layer against the bag.  Along the top of the bag is "crepe" paper in black and I used sticky strip to hold the crepe as I ruffled it.  I had some glass glitter on hand and thought it would look so cute along the base of the crepe paper.  To hold the glass glitter securely, I used sticky strip.  (sticky strip:  AKA red line tape)

(more pictures of each one individually below).

The General Information:

It's that time of year when the Nights are all spooky and the creatures are known to wander the forests.  So sit for a spell with a nice cup of hot apple cider and check out all the great projects using the Creative Kuts Files which you can find by simply clicking here.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies.  There will be lots of fun projects, along with some great blog candy, and a great grand prize for this hop.  This grand prize for this hop will be $50 of Creative Kuts files.  Final details will be given when the winner is announced.

In order to eligible for the grand Prize, you must follow each blog and leave 2 days of comments on each blog.  (there will be 2 different projects for each person on the hop, one for each day)

The hop is a 2 day hop with only 13 blogs to visit so you will have plenty of time to make it through the whole hop line-up twice.  Check out each blog and see what blog candy you can win at the individual stops.

Here are some individual pictures of each treat bag.  These will show some of the finer details.

B

The cat is my favorite.  I inked all the edges of the black card stock with a white ink pad and a sponge.

C
This title medallion was framed with crepe paper and fits perfectly inside the doily.

D
OMG...  this little witch.  I love her.  Look at that sweet face.  How could she cook up something evil.  She is the good witch only brewing up something sweet.  :)

NOW TIME FOR THE BLOG CANDY:

For my project I decided to use "Halloween Candy Wrappers".  You can find the file by clicking here.  (more pictures of each one individually below)

I love this cute little bat.  The sweet little wings are just adorable as they wrap to hold the sign.

4
Check out the fangs on the dracula.  The "Happy Halloween" was computer generated.  All the edges of the black are ink'ed with white ink pad and a sponge dauber.

5
My favorite part of this witch is the boots and the socks.  :)  They are so cute!  I did use a computer generated sentiment, but inked the edges with Wild Honey Distress ink.

6
OMG!  I do think this cat is my favorite.  Check out his whiskers.  I cut little strips of black card stock and then wrapped them around a thin dowel.  I used Button Twine to tie the candy in the pumpkin.

Week-End Re-cap & Milton

Happy Monday Everyone....

I know it has been a while since I have posted.  Last week was a crazy, crazy week for me.  Then before I knew it, the weekend was here and then it was time for me to pack and get ready for the week end crop.  We had a blast.  There was lots of laughs.  Let me just say that Scrap-a-doodle doo sure does know how to do it right.  The Theme was "HOllywood" theme and we all got the glamorous treatment, even with a red carpet.  There was even paparazzi taking pictures through out the event.  Not to mention to top it off with a few glasses of wine at the end of the night as a night cap.

However, this is a new week so lets get it started.

002_edited-1
The above file is by Creative Kuts using Miltons Christmas.

The paper I used is Bazzill and We R Memory Keepers Peppermint Twist Collection.  The next time I cut this piece out, I will cut the tree taller to fill the page nicely.

Thank You for stopping by today.  Just for you to know that I am thankful for each of your visits and kind words.  It means so much to me.

Wishing you all a fabulous Monday!

Fall is in the Air Layout

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to pop in again today and show you what we made Friday Night in the class that I taught at Scrap-a-Doodle Doo.  All the pages came out beautiful.  I personally can't wait to add pages to my layout.

The pattern paper is from We R memory Keepers "Autumn Splendor" collection. I fell in love those little owls from the first time I saw them.

Hope you all have a great day!

Give Thanks

Good Morning Everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful week end.  The temps have dropped here and I am loving it.  I love this time of year.  Soups in the crock pots and snuggled on the couch with a good book.  hmmm.  :)

Today I have a scrapbook page that I created using a file from Creative Kuts.  The file that I used is called "Thanksgiving Blocks".  This file looked like it would have lots of details, but really wasn't.  It went together rather easily. Really happy about that.

What I like the most about the Creative Kuts files is that you can use the pieces by themselves (if you choose).  For instance, If I wanted to just use the turkey/pumpkin I can and put it on a card and then just change up the "give" portion with another word.  Another example would be to use the apples for apple picking or the sunflowers for anything fall related.  The possibilities are endless.

 Give Thanks

The card stock used is varied from Stampin' Up and Bazzill and the pattern papers came from the new line "Hello Fall" from Little Yellow Bicycle that is now available at Scrap-a-doodle doo.

Even though my base looks white it actually is a pattern from the "Hello Fall" line called "Ivory Text". I am using the "B" side from this collection the "A" side is called "Autumn Tree".

Thanks for stopping by today.

2 Cute Rubber Stamp

Hi Everyone,

Today is another day of 2 cute rubber stamps.  :)  With today's card I decided to use Cowboy Kid as image of choice this week.

008
I colored the image in with my copic markers.  And used some Stampin' Up punches to punch out the circles and the scallop circle.  The "howdy"  and the "background" stamp came from an old retired Stampin' Up stamp set.  The pattern paper is from My Minds Eye.  And of course the cardstock came from Stampin' Up.  :)

Happy Halloween layout

Hi Everyone!

Just thought I would share with you the class I did last night.  We made this 2 page layout with lots of pieces.  This class was an intro to paper piecing.  Which Everyone did a wonderful job on their own layout.

All I need to do is print some pictures, adhere to the layout and pop in my album.

1a
The paper in this layout came from the Remininsce Haunted Halloween Collection.  With various of colors of Bazzill cardstock for the embellishments and the base.

Thanks for stopping by today.

2 Cute Rubber Stamps

This day is almost over and I am just now getting my post up for 2 Cute Rubber Stamps.  Something were just out of my control today.  Thanks for understanding.

Better Late than Never right?  So on to my card I made...

I am so happy to share with you my creations for today's post.   Today I decided to use "Happy Birthday Penguin"   Its always so hard for me to come up with a manly card.  I hope this inspires you to create something a little masculine.

001

I printed the digital image onto my white card stock and then colored it in with my copic markers.  I did add a little Glitter in some areas to accent it a little using my Spica Pens by Copic.

I used a mega punch by Marvy for my scalloped rectangle.  The rest of was simply just cut to size.  I did add the "Happy Birthday" stamped image from Lawn Fawn.  The tiny brads came from Stampin' Up.

I am so glad Friday finally decided to make an appearance.  :)  In 2 1/2 hour's I'll be leaving work and heading to the "Doo" to meet with my fellow Design Team Members.  We have a special project we are working on and can't wait to get there and get our ideas rolling.

I have decided to name my Friday Posts.  :)  I introduce you to "Friendly Friday Scrapbook Page".  This is where I am going to show you a scrapbook page I created.

This layout here is my beautiful Niece Kellsea and she dressed up as "Bat Girl" last Halloween.  The pictures are not the greatest as they were taken with a Cell phone, but I love them none-the-less.

All the supplies in the picture above came from We R Memory Keepers "Spookville" line.  I even used my Tim Holtz distressing tool around the edges of the purple paper and stitched along the edges with orange dmc floss.  My friend Beth A. Gave me the bats to add to my page.

The funny thing is about this layout is that I am now looking at it after creating it a week ago and realize that the "Cat" tag don't really go with the "BAT" theme.  ha ha ha..  Oh well.  What is the rule of scrapbooking?  "Once it's down its down" "Move on to the next layout".  lol  (I really make myself laugh at some of the things I do.  lol)

I really hope you have a Wonderful Labor Day Week end.  Stay tuned tomorrow as I am going to have a "Give-a-Way".
